,One martyr, 172 arrests 50 injuries and 20 demolitions is the number of violations by the Israeli occupation in Jerusalem Governorate during July 2021.

 
 
 
The Jerusalem Governorate issued its monthly report for July/2021 in the occupied capital and it summarized the totality of the violations it monitored into the following :-
 
The occupation authorities renew the previous decisions against the Governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith  issued since 2018, banning him from entering the West Bank and participating in any national activities, in addition to providing aid to the people of Jerusalem. Except the decisions for preventing him from talking with 51 Palestinian personalities it was not renewed.
 
The governorate monitored a number of violations centered around arrests, demolitions, eviction decisions, deportation decisions, house arrest, the injury of many citizens, the ascension of a martyr, in addition to two Israeli settlement projects and the daily incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
 
The series of violations of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians continues and showed a high rate of escalation in Jerusalem governorate specially at the end of the month. On July 21, the martyr Abdo Youssef Al-Khatib Al-Tamimi, 43 years, from Shuafat camp, died after he was arrested inside “Al-Maskobiya” investigation and detention center of the occupation government in occupied Jerusalem.
 
172 arrest cases, including 11 women, were monitored, and 20 deportation decisions were also monitored during July, including 14 expulsion decisions from Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City, and the periods of deportation ranged from two weeks to six months. 19 home confinement decisions issued by the occupation authorities against Jerusalemites during July were monitored as well. The period of decisions ranged from five days to two weeks.
 
The occupation courts issued several actual prison sentences against Palestinian prisoners, including an arbitrary 30-month actual prison sentence against Yasmine Jaber. The occupation forces also handed Yasser Darwish, a member of the Fatah movement in Jerusalem, a decision banning him from distributing gifts to children during holidays, and preventing him from distributing Eid al-Adha sacrifices.
 
About 50 injuries were recorded with live and rubber-coated metal bullets, severe beatings, and cases of suffocation due to the firing of tear gas canisters by the occupation forces. As a result, many of the injured were transferred to hospitals for treatment.
 
As for the demolitions, the number of demolitions during the month of July reached 20; 12 of them were self-demolitions and 8 were carried out by occupation bulldozers.
 
The demolitions carried out by the occupation crews affected a school and a wall in the town of Anata, a barracks in the town of Nabi Samuel, a shop, a car parking near the Qalandia checkpoint, two rooms, a building floor and a fence in the town of al-Tur. Twelve citizens were also forced to carry out forced demolitions of 12 homes and an apartment building. Half of these operations were in the town of Al-Tur.
 
As for the razing operations, the occupation bulldozers carried out razing operations in the lands of the Al-Suwwana neighborhood, and continued another razing operations in the town of Hizma with the aim of building a new settlement road extending 1 kilometer and 16 meters wide from the town’s lands, and also removed 100 trees in the town of Al-Tur.
 
Occupation municipality crews stormed several neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem and handed a number of residents self-demolition orders on the pretext that their homes were not licensed. In the village of Walaja 10 demolition notices also delivered a notice for demolition to two barracks in the village of Al-Nabi Samuel.
 
Al-Quds Governorate monitored the violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of July, as 4372 settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, including 1540 settlers who stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on July 18th  in memory of the so-called “destruction of the Temple”, and the incursions were carried out with the support of the occupation forces. It is mentioned that during the periods of incursions Palestinians were prevented to enter the compound , On July 5 the occupation forces obstructed the work of the Al-Aqsa Mosque Reconstruction Committee and prevented it from completing its work, claiming that it had not obtained the necessary licenses.
 
The occupation authorities working to impose a new reality on the occupied city of Jerusalem through the implementation of dangerous settlement projects, during the month of July, the occupation municipality in Jerusalem approved the establishment of a “vocational training college” in the Wadi al Joz area through the local planning and construction committee, and this will be the first step towards Realization of the so-called "Silicon Valley" project. The so-called "Israeli Central Committee for Planning and Building" has also reintroduced the "City Center" project, giving residents an opportunity until the end of July to object to it, after the committee had submitted it last year, but it was postponed due to the objections of Jerusalemites to it.
 
In the file of the families threatened with displacement in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, the Supreme Occupation Court issued a decision on July 29 to freeze the eviction of 3 families from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, : “Al-Dajani”, “Hamad” and “Al-Dahoudi.” It is mentioned that their eviction was to take effect in early August, Meanwhile, four other families in the neighborhood are still awaiting the decision of the Israeli Supreme Court on August 2.
