♦?Setreation projects:-
The "mayor of the occupation" in Jerusalem revealed the details of a new settlement plan to build 6,000 units on the lands of the destroyed villages in the hills of Jerusalem extending from the town of Lifta to the town of Ain Karem. The plan is located on land area of 300 dunums, which are the land of displaced villages, including: “Sataf, Wadi Serar, Wolfta, and Ain Karem”, southwest of Jerusalem.
And in the vicinity of the area “Ain al-Jawzah”, “Ain al-Balad” and “Al-Jura”, it is close to the town of Al-Walaja and is characterised by water eyes and forest areas.
The project will be called “Rikhis Lavan”, where it was researched many years ago amid protests from conservation associations, according to the occupation municipality.
The municipality claimed that "the plan is an alternative that preserves the springs, the White Valley, and all the infiltration areas that feed the springs."
And that it will be on an area of 300 dunums instead of 800, as it was in the plan that was put forward years ago, with the remaining 500 dunums to be used as a "national park," she claimed.
“Through advanced planning, intensive and versatile uses, as well as 'abandoning’ the light rail line, it is possible to build 6,000 housing units.”
