Excavations are continuing under the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the collapses are increasing and alarming And Al-Quds Governorate monitors (7) martyrs, (2176) arrests, (117) demolition operations and (33,351) settlers who stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the first half of 2022

Al-Quds Governorate issued a report on violations of the Israeli occupation in Al-Quds Governorate during the first half of 2022, in which it summarized the total violations of the occupation during the first six months of this year, and the governorate had issued five reports monitoring the violations of the occupation during the current year.

In the midst of the violations, crimes, and aggravation practiced by "Israel" - the occupying country - in the Holy City, the frequency of which is increasing day by day, the Palestinian in general, and Al-Maqdisi in particular, have become targeted for the application of all means of crime against him, by wounding, arresting, or destroying his property. And up to kill him and even target him after death!

During the first half of 2022, seven martyrs were martyred in the Holy Capital, including a journalist and a child. They are (Fahmy Hamad, Karim Al-Qawasmi, the child Yamen Javal, Abdul Rahman Qassem, Alaa Shaham, the media, Sherine Abu Aqla, Walid Al-Sharif).
We never lose sight of the integrated crime that the occupation carried out against the media, Sherine Abu Aqleh, during her coverage of the events of the Jenin camp, which put Israel’s crimes under the microscope in front of the whole world, by clearly targeting the press, by directly shooting at the beginning of journalist Ali Smoudi, which led to He was hit in the back, and the second bullet was in the head of Abu Aqah, where it penetrated from the area below the ear to lacerate part of the brain, which led to her death instantly. She points out her killer.
Not only did the occupation attack al-Maqdisi alive, but it went beyond that to attack the martyr in his coffin, in a horrific scene of beatings and crushing, pepper gas spraying and dispersal of mourners. What we saw during the funeral of the martyr Abu Aqila, followed by the funeral scene of the martyr Walid al-Sharif, where the occupation forces attacked the mourners by beating, crushing, spraying pepper gas and even shooting at them.
In a related context, with regard to the file of martyrs whose bodies are being held by the occupation, the occupation authorities are still holding the bodies of (18) holy martyrs in the occupation refrigerators and graveyards until the end of June 2022.
Targeting the governor of Jerusalem and Jerusalem symbols, as the occupation authorities continue to remove the governor of Jerusalem from his place of work in the Jerusalem governorate, in addition to a number of decisions taken against him.

The Jerusalem governorate witnessed the setting of one of its bright suns, as the director of the Youth and Sports Department in the Jerusalem governorate, Martyr Fawaz Hamayel, rose from the town of Beita, Nablus district, to the supreme companion, affected by the wounds he sustained as a result of the occupation’s firing of “internationally forbidden dumdum” bullets, at close range towards him on the morning of 14 April resulted in a severe laceration to the liver, kidneys and lungs, while the occupation forces stormed his hometown of Beita. It is reported that the martyr Fawaz Hamayel is 46 years old and father of 3 children. Al-Quds Governorate also recorded (261) attacks; Of these, (67) were assaults with physical abuse, the most prominent of which was the attack by herds of settlers during the month of June on members of the Samrin family in Silwan town, and more than 100 settlers attacked the two young men, Omari Hijazi and Basil Rashid, with sharp tools, which led to stab wounds and very severe injuries that almost cost their lives. .

During the first half of 2022, the Jerusalem Governorate monitored the injuries resulting from the use of excessive force by the occupation forces against Jerusalemites in various parts of the governorate, as about 1,772 injuries with live and rubber bullets and physical attacks by the occupation forces and settlers were monitored, after which they were transferred to hospitals for treatment. Most of them were concentrated in the upper areas of the body, which led to dozens of fractures and internal bleeding in the head, and some of them lost their eyes as a result of direct injury.

In a clear and explicit violation of the sanctity of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, settlers’ incursions escalated during the first half of 2022, and 33,351 settlers were monitored storming the courtyards of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning and evening periods, under strict protection from the occupation police, during which they performed public Talmudic prayers and rituals, and were stationed during their incursions In the vicinity of the Bab al-Rahma building and chapel on the eastern side of the mosque, the highest was in the month of May, with (10,468) settlers, under the pretext of Jewish holidays. Among the most serious violations that Al-Aqsa Mosque is exposed to is the prevention of restoration work, and placing obstacles in the way of restoration and maintenance inside and outside the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in an attempt to establish complete occupational sovereignty over the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which led to the leakage of rainwater from the depressions at the gates and columns on the eastern side and the eastern wall of the mosque. Al-Aqsa Mosque, which caused the carpets of the “Marwani prayer hall” in Al-Aqsa to be drowned by rain water, as well as the flow of rainwater into the “Bab al-Rahma” prayer hall as a result of the depression that the country experienced.

The Christian presence in Jerusalem is part of the history and present of the occupied city. The churches and monasteries scattered in their various neighborhoods testify to this, especially the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the heart of the hearts of Christians from all over the world. However, this presence is being targeted by the Israeli occupation with the policy of Judaization pursued by the occupation in order to falsify the history of Jerusalem and change its present.
During the first half of 2022, the occupation continued violations against Christian sects and monuments in Jerusalem, most notably, the occupation police issuing restrictions to reduce the number of people celebrating the Holy Saturday, as they restricted the access of Christians to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

Among the arrests was the arrest of (54) young men during the snowy depression that affected the country in January, on charges of throwing snow on settlers and police officers. It is reported that January was the month with the highest number of arrests.
On April 15, the occupation forces arrested 476 young men after beating and harassing them from inside the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in private “Egged” buses, which were designated to transport detainees from Al-Buraq Square to a camp near the town of Al-Isawiya and from there to the Al-Maskobiya police station, and the police prevented providing legal advice. For the detainees, the occupation also prevented them from being referred for treatment or showing them to the doctor despite the clarity of their injuries.
It is noted that the pace of arrests launched by the occupation in Jerusalem governorate increased during the first half of 2022 compared to the year 2021, when (1868) arrests were made, including (85 women) and (394 minor children).
During the first half of this year, the racist occupation courts issued (133) actual prison sentences against Jerusalemite prisoners. Among those decisions were the issuance of (36) administrative detention decisions, among them Al-Hajj Amin Al-Shweiki, 61 years old, for the third time in a row. And the deported Jerusalemite deputy, Ahmed Atoun.
During the first six months of this year, 109 house arrest decisions were monitored, ranging from five days to a week, in addition to the imposition of bails and exorbitant financial fines against them. Among the decisions was an open house detention order against the child, Suhaib Abu Nab, 14 years old. Among these decisions was a five-day house arrest and a financial guarantee of 5,000 shekels against the Secretary of the Fatah movement in Jerusalem, Shadi Motwer, after his arrest during the transfer of the body of the martyr Abu Aqila to the French hospital.

And (711) banishment decisions were monitored during the first half of this year, half of which were banishment decisions from the mosque
The blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which varied between deportation from the Al-Aqsa Mosque, or their areas of residence, especially the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, or from the entire city of Jerusalem.
It is noted that the frequency of the occupation authorities’ issuance of deportation decisions increased between the first half of 2022 and 2021, in which 365 decisions of deportation were monitored from different regions.
The occupation invokes security reasons to prevent Palestinians from traveling, especially in occupied Jerusalem. It was monitored that about 21 travel ban decisions were issued by the occupation authorities in the first half of this year only, and the period of decisions ranged from one to 6 months.
During the first half of this year, the number of demolitions in Jerusalem governorate reached 117, including; (83) demolitions by occupation mechanisms and crews, and (34) forced self-demolitions. In addition to (16) digging and bulldozing operations carried out by the occupation mechanisms.

It also handed over a decision to demolish and remove “public service caravans” in the Mount of Olives playground, and it is mentioned that this playground aims to serve the town’s children.

The occupation forces continue their violations to reach the stone, after it affected people, as the occupation intentionally eradicates everything that is sacred, disregarding the historical and religious importance of Al-Aqsa Mosque, as it works hard in the ground, to destroy what is above it, claiming to search for “Jewish monuments”, which is what It affected the construction of Al-Aqsa Mosque and led to partial collapses of its stones and some of its main pillars. It also intends to prevent its restoration, as the last restoration was allowed in Al-Aqsa Mosque in 2004, after intense international pressure.

As part of the occupation’s efforts to impose new facts in the occupied city of Jerusalem to control more Palestinian real estate and lands in the city, which comes in light of the escalation of the frenzied settlement volume, the forced displacement of Jerusalemites and the change of the Arab-Palestinian character of the city of Jerusalem.

During the first half of this year, the occupation authorities continued to move forward with the settlement of the lands of the city of Jerusalem, which the occupation began in 2019 and is expected to end in 2025, with the aim of seizing the lands of the occupied capital. At the end of June, what is known as the Israeli Ministry of Justice, represented by the settlement commissioner, issued a decision published in the Official Gazette on June 20, 2022, stipulating the start of the process of registering lands in the name of Jewish settlers around the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, to include lands located within the scheme of the so-called “national park.” , around the walls of the Old City, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and turning them into settlement associations.

In order to impose the Talmudic Jewish character on the features of the holy city, the occupation authorities intensified the approval of the establishment of public Jewish gardens, such as the scheme to confiscate the lands of the Friday market and the northern part of the Yusuf cemetery with the aim of establishing a public park there, and ratifying the establishment of a huge Judaization center in the Mount of Olives to commemorate the history of the dead Jews . a plan separating the "Al-Masara neighborhood" from "Bab Al-Amoud" and "the rest of Jerusalem's neighborhoods" on endowment land; (70% of them are Islamic endowments), and (20% endowments affiliated to Christian churches and monasteries).
