The Public Relations and Media Unit in the Jerusalem Governorate issued its monthly report on the violations of the Israeli occupation in the Jerusalem Governorate during the month of November 2022, summarizing the total violations that were monitored in the neighborhoods and towns of the Jerusalem Governorate.
During the month of October, 3 martyrs were killed in Jerusalem Governorate, where the occupation forces executed the Jerusalemite citizen Habbas Abdel Hafeth Youssef Rayan, 54 years old, from the town of Beit Duqu, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, after he was shot at the Beit Ur military checkpoint, southwest of Ramallah. Under the pretext of carrying out a run-over operation at the checkpoint, it is mentioned that the martyr Habbas is the father of the prisoner, Qusai Rayan.
On the third of November, Dawood Mahmoud Khalil Rayan, 42 years old, was killed by the occupation bullets in the town of Beit Duqu, and he is a father of seven children.
On the same day, the young man, "Amer Hussam Badr Halabiya" (20 years old), was martyred, and the occupation detained his body.
This brings the number of martyrs in Jerusalem governorate since the beginning of this year to 17 martyrs, and with the detention of the bodies of the martyrs Habbas Rayan and Amer Halabiya, the number of martyrs whose bodies are detained by the occupation increases to 23 martyrs.
The pace of settler attacks and provocations increased in November 2022, as herds of settlers continued to target citizens' vehicles in several neighborhoods of occupied Jerusalem.
As for targeting Jerusalemite personalities, the occupation authorities continue their violations against Jerusalemite symbols, headed by the Governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, as a joint force of intelligence and occupation forces raided, on the morning of November 22, 2022, Ghaith's house in the central neighborhood of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The occupation forces deployed in the vicinity of the house of the governor of Jerusalem before storming it, then stationed at his door, while a squad of the occupation forces and his intelligence forces stormed and searched the house.
On the fourth of last August, the occupation court issued a decision imposing house arrest on Governor Ghaith, without specifying a time period for the decision.
The occupation has arrested Ghaith 35 times since assuming his duties as governor of Jerusalem in August 2018, and he is also being pursued, arrested, and prevented from participating in meetings or communicating with 51 Palestinian personalities headed by His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, in addition to preventing him from traveling or leaving occupied Jerusalem. .
As for the injuries file, about (32) injuries were documented as a result of live and rubber-coated metal bullets, severe beatings, and assaults by the occupation forces and settlers. Among the injuries were burns and head injuries caused by tear gas canisters and fracture injuries, in addition to hundreds of suffocation cases as a result of firing poison gas canisters. The occupation authorities also delivered several demolition notices for several homes in many towns in occupied Jerusalem. During the month of November, the occupation authorities delivered stop-work notices in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, and demolition notices in separate neighborhoods of the town of Al-Tur.
On November 13, the Central Occupation Court rejected the Shehadeh family's appeal against the decision to evict them from their homes in Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in the town of Silwan, without any explanations or examination of the allegations made during the session held for the family on November 9.
With regard to the file of prisoners, the prisoners in the occupation prisons are waging a fierce war that is no less than what is happening outside it, as the Israeli occupation prison administration continues to abuse and assault them continuously. the captive "Fadwa Hamada"; For her protest against the prison administration's failure to implement the prisoners' demands to stop the policy of medical neglect and improve living conditions in "Damon" prison.

During the month of November, and in the context of the attack on education in Jerusalem, the occupation authorities fired live bullets at Al-Quds University students in Abu Dis, east of occupied Jerusalem. As a result, a student was injured by a bullet that lodged in his thigh.
And as part of the occupation's continuous efforts to impose its curriculum in Jerusalemite schools, the so-called "Ministry of Education" of the occupation distributed its books to the students of Al-Iman School on November 8, prompting the students to burn those books.
In the context of targeting journalists, on November 17, the occupation forces arrested the journalist "Saif Al-Qawasmi" after assaulting him, and confiscated his vehicle keys at the Qalandia camp checkpoint, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The occupation court also postponed the trial session of the Jerusalemite journalist, Lama Ghosheh, 30, to December 20, and maintained the restrictions and conditions of house arrest and the prevention of contact and communication.
The occupation authorities seek to impose a new reality on the occupied city of Jerusalem through the implementation of dangerous settlement projects. In November 2022, the occupation authorities approved several settlement projects in various regions of occupied Jerusalem, the most prominent of which were:
The plan to build the headquarters of the US Embassy in occupied Jerusalem, on an area equivalent to 50 dunums, in the Allenby Colonial Complex, in Al-Baqaa neighborhood, south of Jerusalem.
The Israeli occupation municipality also intends to open the northern section of the Tunnels Road (60) expansion project, with a length of about 105 kilometers, in an attempt to link the occupied city of Jerusalem with the "Gush Etzion" settlements in the south of the West Bank, and to facilitate settlers' access to the city.
The Elad settlement association received 28 million shekels to support settlement in Wadi Al-Rababa in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to change its Palestinian character, under the pretext of establishing public parks and agricultural projects and developing the area for tourism at the expense of the original land owners in Silwan.
Jerusalemite data also showed that the biblical gardens and fake cemeteries established by the occupation in Jerusalem now control more than 5,000 dunums of the occupied city's lands.
The occupation confiscated hundreds of dunams of Jerusalem lands, to establish 7 biblical gardens, from the towns of Silwan and Jabal Mukaber in the south, to Al-Issawiya and Mount Scopus in the north, and Ras Al-Amud and the town of Al-Tur in the east, all the way to Solomon's Pools in the west.
